The story of Feathers of Knysna Arts and Crafts began more than 21 years ago in the picturesque coastal town of Knysna. Situated along the famous South African Garden Route, Knysna has a rich heritage of artists and is a town particularly well known for its carved wooden bird industry, which was started by Feathers in 1986.

Originally, Feathers of Knysna specialized only in wooden birds, but as the company grew, the product range expanded to include various other products, made with equal attention to quality and detail.
